Reville Design
All our materials are premium, natural, carefully selected and put together.
They will age beautifully and will last you a lifetime if you take good care of them!
Full grain leather is the highest grade of leather, does not need much much maintenance. Our products are our companions, they need love!
Still, there are best practices to keep them in pristine conditions, here's some:
Store your Reville Design Backpack in a dry storage space, away from direct sunlight, when you want to give it a rest.
When cleaning your Full Grain Leather backpack, wipe it with a clean and soft dry cotton cloth then then massage it with a small amount of leather balm gently, in light circular motion.
This should be more than sufficient to make it as new.
Once done with this step, wipe off the leather with a dry cloth. Be nice please!
Remember, full grain leather is water resistant, not waterproof. It’s OK if it takes some drops of water, wipe it away if that happens. If it ever gets soaked gently dab it with a dry cotton cloth and leave it in a dark, airy place, stuffed with a cloth / padding to retain its shape as it is drying.
If you really want, a good natural leather cream will help to make look like when you first got it. It might become temporarily a bit darker, that’s the signature of a quality full grain leather.
Full grain leather will eventually develop slight imperfections, it’s a natural good that develops a natural patina with age and exposure is known as patina. It’s part of what makes leather such a desirable material.
And allow us to suggest the following...
Avoid using any detergent, cleaning spray or other harsh cleaning agents.
Avoid letting it rest in plastic bags.
Avoid forgetting it in high heat areas, e.g. inside a parked car.
Avoid drying it with hairdryers, blow dryers, heaters, fire... come on!
Avoid snorkeling, scuba-diving with it... should we say more?
